Desert Song Festival 

23rd August to 20th September 2018 

Over 10 days each September, singers and musicians, choirs and audiences from Alice Springs and Central Australia and visitors to the region experience something special, as choirs and musicians from this vibrant multi-cultural community come together to present a series of events that showcase incredible musical talent.

Through major concerts, chamber concerts and workshops, choirs, musicians, small vocal ensembles, individual performers, and ensembles from different sacred music traditions join in a number of events celebrating the singer, the song, the instrument, the land and its people. Aboriginal traditional and sacred music, African freedom songs, ballads, classical compositions, Caribbean folk music and a cappella singing all make their appearance on the cultural smorgasbord that is Central Australia.
